Each bar is handmade in small batches in our Ayrshire studio using organic plant oils and butters. The soaps are vegan and palm-oil free, and each bar is left to cure for six weeks to produce a hard, long-lasting soap with a gentle lather.

The scents take their cue from classic literature, with each blend chosen to suit the character of the book it represents.

The soaps are wrapped in paper and tied with string.

Skin Benefits

Plant Butters (Mango Seed, Cocoa, Coconut, Kokum):Rich in nutrients, these butters nourish and hydrate, leaving skin soft, clean, and comfortable.
Apricot Kernel Oil: Lightweight and soothing, high in vitamins A and E — ideal for calming dry or sensitive skin.
Extra Virgin Olive Oil: Packed with antioxidants, it deeply hydrates and softens, supporting the skin’s natural barrier.
Clay: Gently cleanses without drying. Each bar includes a natural clay suited to sensitive or dry skin, helping to soften and refresh.
Essential Oils: Offer gentle cleansing and skin-supporting properties, while creating aromatic blends that uplift and restore.
Note: Little Women is a pure, unscented bar with no essential oils. Perfect for those who prefer simplicity and assessed as baby-safe.

Product Care & Ingredients

To keep your soap at its best before use, store it in a cool, dry spot with good air circulation, away from sunlight and humidity. Historically, soaps were often tucked into linen closets to gently scent fabrics.

To make your soap last longer, keep it dry between uses by placing it on a well-draining soap dish. For high-traffic areas, like a hand basin, consider halving the bar with a knife and using one piece at a time.

Knowing how lovely the soaps are, I had high expectations for the Pride & Prejudice body oil — and it more than lived up to them. The scent is beautiful, it absorbs quickly, and my skin feels incredibly soft afterwards, like I’ve just come back from a spa. I use it after every shower now, and you only need the smallest amount.
