The Love of Soap
We’ve always loved good soap. It’s a small daily treasure — the quiet joy of unwrapping a fresh bar, the soft lather in your hands, the gentle fragrance that lingers.
Once a faithful fixture in every home, the humble soap bar has, in recent years, been eclipsed by plastic bottles filled with synthetic gels. And in losing them, we lost a little of life’s familiar ritual.
We’re here to bring it back. Our soaps are made with nourishing plant butters and oils, creating a rich, creamy lather and scents drawn from flowers, herbs, and the natural world. They last longer, feel finer, and leave behind only their story — never the ‘forever chemicals’ that trouble our waterways and bodies.
The Love of Literature
Books are our constant companions. Their characters and lines settle into the rhythm of daily life: a kitchen mishap recalls the March sisters in Little Women; a breath of morning air evokes Colin in The Secret Garden, when “the strength poured into him like a flood.”
So it felt only natural to let these stories infuse our soaps — a weaving of scent and literature, memory and ritual. Each bar evokes the atmosphere of a place, the spirit of a beloved character, or the mood of a moment on the page. Little daily luxuries, steeped in story.
What We Make
We create our cold process soaps, mineral salt soak, and nourishing body oil by hand, in small batches.
Our scents range from dark and resinous to floral, herbaceous, and green — each inspired by the emotional landscapes of our favourite books. All our butters, cold-pressed oils, essential oils, and botanicals are COSMOS-certified organic and sourced from trusted UK suppliers.
Each product is created with care to offer comfort and add a little beauty to your everyday.
